Rylee Stafford scored the lone goal as the unbeaten Jackson girls soccer team advanced to the semifinals of the Kickapoo Lady Chiefs Shootout with a 1-0 win over the host Chiefs on Friday.

Stafford scored 27 minutes into the first half on a pass from Haylie Woodard.

Sarah Blanton made six saves in goal to record the shutout for Jackson (8-0-1).

Perryville 4, Maplewood-Richmond Heights 0

The Pirates advanced to the championship game of the Hillsboro Tournament with a victory over Maplewood-Richmond Heights.

Brooke Moll, Emma Nelson, Kylie Bilek and Brooke Hogard scored goals for Perryville (9-2).

Kelly 2, North County 0

Maegan Walker and Savannah Whitten scored goals in the Hawks' win.

Walker also picked up an assist on Whitten's goal.

Shanda Reed made five saves in goal for Kelly (3-7-1).

BASEBALL

Meadow Heights 13, Oak Ridge 2

Freshman Dawson Lindgren had two hits and three RBIs as Meadow Heights won in five innings.

Lane Baremore added three hits, while Jacob Douglas, Jordan Yamnitz and Nick Mayfield had two apiece for the Panthers (4-6).

Douglas pitched all five innings for the win, allowing six hits and striking out eight and walking four.

Jordan Barker took the loss for Oak Ridge (1-8).

Dakota Talley sustained the loss. He threw 5 2/3 innings and allowed six runs -- two earned -- on eight hits for Scott City (7-9).

The Perryville boys track and field team captured first in three events to tie Potosi for fifth place overall at Farmington High School.

On the girls' side, Notre Dame won third place in two out of the four relay events to finish one point behind Dexter in seventh place. Jackson took 11th place.
