Cassidi Tomsu netted a game-high 20 points as the Jackson girls basketball team picked up a 60-45 win over Dexter on Monday at Jackson High School.
The Indians maintained a slim three-point lead at halftime and went on to outscore the Bearcats by 12 points in the second half to come away with the win.
Rachel Crites added 16 points for Jackson (15-9).
Krysten Garrison had 13 points to pace Dexter (14-9). Melanie McKuin and Cheyenne Mosby tossed in 11 points apiece for the Bearcats.

Chaffee's Kylie Wilhite drained a game-high 28 points and pulled down seven rebounds as the top-seeded Red Devils scorched the fourth-seeded Camels in the opening round of the Class 2 District 1 Tournament at Bloomfield.
The Red Devils held a 34-point lead by halftime.
Jordan Pruitt netted 19 points, including five 3-pointers, for Chaffee (21-5). Julia Sutterfield tallied 13 points, seven assists and four steals, and Lindsey Harrell added 10 points and seven rebounds for the Red Devils.

There were no surprises in Monday's opening round of the Class 3 District 2 Tournament as the top four teams prevailed in the quarterfinals at Scott City High School.
Top-seeded and state-ranked Saxony Lutheran romped eighth-seeded East Prairie 79-15 in the first game of the evening. Raegan Wieser netted a game-high points and had four steals to lead the Crusaders, who improved to 26-0 with the win. Brianna Mueller recorded 14 points and five assists and Grace Mirly chipped in 15 points to help eliminate the Eagles, who ended their season with a record of 2-18.
Saxony will face fourth-seeded Kelly on Wednesday at 6 p.m. in a semifinal. The Hawks (17-6) survived a scare from fifth-seeded Clearwater in a 72-69 thriller that ended the Tigers' season at 12-10.
In the bottom half of the bracket, second-seeded Arcadia Valley (21-3) crushed seventh-seeded host Scott City 82-21 and third-seeded Charleston (17-6) edged sixth-seeded Woodland 76-66 to advance to Wednesday's other semifinal at 7:30 p.m. The Rams wrapped up their season with a record of 2-19, and the Cardinals concluded with a record of 10-11.

South Iron's Korbin Ruble scored a game-high 17 points to lead the top-seeded and state-ranked host Panthers in a lopsided quarterfinal win over the eighth-seeded Wildcats in the opening round of the Class 1 District 3 Tournament in Annapolis, Mo.

Demetrius Cornell netted 14 points and Orrin Riggs dropped in 10 points for South Iron (21-3).
