Stephen Irons hit a game-winning 3-pointer from the left corner with 1.1 seconds remaining, lifting the Jackson boys basketball team to a 49-48 win over Class 3 state-ranked Park Hills Central on Wednesday in Park Hills, Missouri.

Garrett Walker finished with 15 points to lead the Indians, who carried a one-point lead into the fourth quarter. Jacob Smith contributed 13 points for Jackson (11-8).

The Rebels were led by Brandon Wagner, who had 14 points. Jake Bridges added 13 points for Park Hills (15-2).

Lutheran North 78, Notre Dame 70

The sixth-seeded Bulldogs headed into the final period tied but couldn't hang on, falling to the third-seeded Crusaders in the opening round of the 36th Annual Queen of Hearts Tournament at Villa Duchesne High School in St. Louis.

Sam Brennan had 19 points and six steals to lead the Bulldogs, who were outscored 24-16 in the fourth quarter. Hayli Chapman added 16 points and six rebounds for Notre Dame (6-10), while Maddie Urhahn contributed 14 points and six boards. The Bulldogs will face the loser between No. 2 Notre Dame (St. Louis) and No. 7 Villa Duchesne in a consolation semifinal at 5:30 p.m. Friday.

Renetha Dickson scored a game-high 28 points to lead the Crusaders. Kaylynn Hayden finished with 20 points for Lutheran North (10-6), and Jordyn White chipped in 18 points.
