Advance senior standout Lane Below finished with a team-high 35 points to lead the second-seeded Hornets to an 84-52 victory over Bell City in the first round of the Stoddard County Activities Association (SCAA) Conference Tournament on Tuesday in Dexter, Mo.
The Hornets led by 10 points at halftime on the way to the win. Advance will face sixth-seeded Woodland (9-9) in a 7 p.m. semifinal Thursday. The Cardinals upset third-seeded Bloomfield (5-11) 49-48 in one of Monday's quarterfinals.
Dalton Wilson added 10 points for Advance (12-6) in the win.
