All the local high school events reported Monday to the Southeast Missourian.

Sophomore pitcher Ciara Coomer struck out 11 batters in Delta's 2-1 home victory against Clearwater in softball action Monday.

Coomer allowed three hits and walked one over seven innings.

Machela VanGennip had a triple for the Bobcats (5-13), while Rachel Birkman added a double.

Ashlynn Collier and Abby Hadler both finished with two hits for Saxony Lutheran (7-9). Collier had a triple, while Hadler had a double.

Four Pirates had two-goal games in the home victory.

Alex Thieret, Kyle Thieret, Austin Roth and Nate Kennison all had two goals. Kyle Wood and Luke Schlichting each added a goal for the Pirates (8-3).

Goalkeeper Luke Dobbelare had three saves in the shutout.

Volleyball

Bell City senior Talena Woodson had five kills and two digs in the Cubs' road victory.

Sierra Bradshaw had five digs and four blocks for Bell City.

Katie Williams had 13 kills, and Callie Callis had nine assists for the Tigers (6-11-1).

Perryville's Lauren Buxton had four blocks, and Ashley Bachman had five assists in the road win.

Kristen Triller added four kills for the Pirates (16-2).

Advance senior Liza Gray had nine kills, and Aimie Simmers had eight kills in the home victory.

Allie Below had 20 assists and Jaqueline Maddox had 13 digs, while Haley Kennison had three aces to help the Hornets (15-2).

Allie Woodfin had six kills, three assists, five digs and three blocks in the road win.

Caitlin Petty also had five kills, nine assists and eight digs. Denai Arnzen had five kills and 10 digs, while Sydney Eeftink gave out 15 assists for the Wildcats (14-3-1).

The Indians posted a road shutout against the Mules.

Jenny Powell, at No. 1 singles, and Katelyn Kuppart, at No. 4 singles, both recorded 8-0 victories. Jackie McNally and Lucy Kunz also had a 9-0 victory at No. 3 doubles.

Winning pitcher Joe Elfrink had 14 strikeouts to lead the Wildcats to the championship game of Campbell's baseball tournament.

Elfrink allowed four hits, two walks and two runs -- one earned. Zach Elfrink and Austin Bucher each had a double, while Casey Graham added one hit and two RBIs.
