High School Roundup: Chaffee softball team wins season opener

Adrienne Eichhorn knocked in three runs to help the Chaffee softball team open the season with a victory Monday.

Hailey Enderle struck out one and allowed one earned run in the Red Devils' 12-6 win against visiting Neelyville.

Chaffee took advantage of 12 errors by the Tigers.

Sierra Miller doubled and Jessie Evans added an RBI in the win.

The Indians banged out nine hits in the home win.

Abby Ruessler went 3 for 4 with two doubles and two RBIs, while Jackie Richardet connected for a double and a triple in the win.

Kayla Seabaugh went 3 for 4 with a triple and two RBIs for St. Vincent.

Casey Unterreiner allowed three hits and no earned runs with four strikeouts to earn the victory in the circle.
