All the local high school events reported Monday to the Southeast Missourian.

A strong second half allowed No. 3 Chaffee to squeeze out a 48-46 upset over second-seeded Meadow Heights in a semifinal match in the Class 2 District 3 Tournament at Bismarck High School in Bismarck, Mo.

Ellie Sigman tallied 15 points and 23 rebounds for her seventh double-double of the season for Chaffee (13-11). Julia Sutterfield added 11 points, and Lindsey Harrell recorded nine points and 12 rebounds for the Red Devils.

Kiana Hotop scored 13 points to lead Meadow Heights, while Taylor Cureton contributed 12 points. The Panthers finished their season at 13-12.

Chaffee is scheduled to face fifth-seeded host Bismarck for the district title at 6 p.m. Thursday; however, the game may be moved ahead to Wednesday due to the impending threat of inclement weather in the forecast. Bismarck (9-17) dealt a major upset to top-seeded Viburnum 47-43 in Monday's other semifinal to earn the right to play in the district championship.

Brianna Mueller scored a game-high 17 points to help lead the top-seeded Crusaders to a 53-32 victory over No. 4 St. Pius X (Festus) in a semifinal at West County High School in Park Hills, Mo.

Tess Daniel netted nine points, while Raegan Wieser had eight points and grabbed seven rebounds for Saxony Lutheran (24-2), ranked No. 1 in Class 3 by MBCA/MOsports.com.

Holly Magre scored 10 points for the Lancers, who finished their season at 20-3.

The Crusaders will face sixth-seeded Clearwater for the district title at 6 p.m. Wednesday The Tigers advanced to the championship with a 64-50 upset win over No. 2 Arcadia Valley in Monday's other semifinal.

Natalie Gremaud broke out with 32 points and snagged 17 rebounds to lead the Pirates in the home victory.

Allison Moldenhauer sank 10 points and and added seven assists, five rebounds and four steals for Perryville (13-10).

Morgan Grither and Paige Porter notched 13 points apiece to pace the Dragons (11-14).

Dylan Hellman poured in a game-high 18 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead the second-seeded Indians past No. 7 Kingston in the opening round at Crystal City, Mo.

Dylan Richardet added 10 points for St. Vincent (17-8). Trent Elder added nine points and dished out four assists, while Trenton Gremaud snagged 11 rebounds for the Indians.

Kyle Nelson scored 11 points to pace the Cougars (8-17).

St. Vincent will take on No. 3 Elsberry (15-10) at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday in a semifinal match. The Indians knocked off sixth-seeded Valle Catholic 53-35.
