But the Red Devils faithful will be able to celebrate a winning season after Chaffee knocked off Marquand 72-22 on Thursday.
The Red Devils improved to 14-12 and locked in their first winning season in 31 years.
Blake Senciboy scored 18 points, while Alex Crowe netted 15 in the win.
Michael Rutherford added 10 points for the Red Devils.
Chaffee jumped out to a 21-2 lead after the first quarter and only allowed four points in the first half.
