The Chaffee baseball team improved to 6-1 with a pair of lopsided home wins over Oak Ridge in a doubleheader Saturday.
A.J. Owens hit a double to help lead Chaffee in the 16-1 five-inning romp in Game 1.
Lane Henson picked up the win on the mound. He pitched two innings, gave up one hit, struck out two and walked one.
Nathan Bolin took the loss. He pitched 1 1/3 innings and allowed 10 runs -- one earned -- on six hits with three strikeouts and three walks.
Kodi Ballard belted a triple and a double to lead the Red Devils to a 10-2 victory in the second game of the day.
Alec Bogenpohl was the winning pitcher. He threw five innings and allowed two unearned runs on four hits with 10 strikeouts and no walks.
Tyee Curry was the losing pitcher. He threw 5 1/3 innings and gave up four earned runs on six hits with seven strikeouts and four walks.

The Notre Dame boys volleyball team captured third place in the silver bracket of the two-day St. Louis Preseason Blast Tournament.
The Bulldogs began pool play on Friday at Seckman High School with a 25-19, 25-23 win over St. Francis Borgia followed by a 25-14, 25-13 victory over the host Jaguars. The Bulldogs dropped their final match in pool play to Lindbergh 25-17, 25-16, which sent them to Saturday's silver bracket.
Notre Dame started the silver bracket with a three-set thriller over Christian Brothers College Preparatory (21-25, 25-23, 25-20), which sent it to the semifinals where it lost to Fort Zumwalt West 19-25, 24-26. The Bulldogs bounced back and defeated Westminster Christian Academy 25-10, 25-22 for third place in the silver bracket.
Rhett Simmons recorded 52 digs, 48 kills and served four aces over the weekend to lead the Bulldogs. John Fennewald tallied 57 digs and 36 kills and Blake Dunlap added 53 digs and 28 kills. Evan Landewee dished out 138 assists for Notre Dame (5-2).
The Bulldogs return to the court on Tuesday when they will host Ritenour in their first home game of the season.
The Notre Dame boys and girls track and field teams captured first place in both divisions at Saturday's Bulldog Relays.
The boys took first in three sprint events, four distance events and one field event to edge out Jackson by five points to clinch the title.
On the girls' side, the Bulldogs clinched first in two sprint events, four distance events and one field event to finish far ahead of Jefferson (Festus) in the team standings.

Jackson junior Dakota Maddox reached a height of 14 feet to win first place in the pole vault to help lead the Indians to an 11th-place finish at Saturday's Early Bird Invitational in Festus, Mo.
The Indians also took second place in the 3,200 relay with a time of 8:34.04
In the girls' division, junior Chelsea Drum finished second in the 800 run with a time of 2 minutes, 24.36 -- exactly 13 seconds behind Eureka senior Hannah Long. Long ran the second-fastest time in the nation for a high school athlete in the 1,600, according to Jackson coach Jimmy Stoverink. The Indians also took second place in the 3,200 relay with a time of 10 minutes, 6.09 seconds to finish in 15th place overall in the team standings, edging out Dexter by 1.5 points. Junior MaKayla Waldner won the 100 and 300 hurdles for the Bearcats.
