All the local high school events reported Thursday to the Southeast Missourian.

Central closed its football season with a 56-14 Class 4 District 1 victory against visiting Perryville on Thursday.

The Tigers, who ended with a 6-3 record overall and 1-2 mark in the district, led 44-0 at halftime.

Perryville finished its season 1-9 overall and 0-3 in the district. The Pirates closed the season with a six-game losing streak after snapping a 15-game skid in Week 4.

Scott City 39, St. Pius 20

Scott City quarterback Jonathan McFall passed for three touchdowns and 226 yards as the Rams closed their season with a Class 2 District 2 victory.

McFall threw 29-yard touchdown passes to Zach Cotner and Austin Atchley during the second quarter as Scott City built a 26-0 lead. He added an 18-yard toss to Brett Dirnberger during the fourth quarter.

Zach Haynes had a 10-yard scoring run during the first quarter, and Zach Estes added a 1-yard run later in the period.

St. Pius scored twice late in the second quarter to cut the lead to 26-14 at halftime.

Jacob Underwood added a 1-yard run in the third quarter for Scott City.

Underwood finished with 91 yards on 19 carries.

Cotner led the Rams with 117 yards receiving on five catches, while Atchley had 91 yards on four receptions.

Scott City closed its season at 5-5 and 1-2 in the district, while St. Pius finished at 0-9.
