Jacob Conklin powered the Central baseball team to a 9-3 victory over Chaffee on Wednesday.

Conklin went 2 for 4 with four RBIs as the Tigers improved to 2-0.

Sam Schneider, Christian Cavaness, B.I. Howard and Josh Meyer each knocked in one run for the victors.

Alex Crowe took the loss for the Red Devils in their season opener.

The game was moved from Chaffee to Central because of wet field conditions.
