Al Young recorded a game-high 21 points as Central held on for a 55-54 McCracken County in boys basketball action Tuesday in Paducah, Kentucky.
The Tigers jumped out to a 14-point lead by the close of the first quarter, which proved vital. The Mustangs outscored Central, which still led by 14 points at halftime, 56-33 the remainder of the game.
Andre Statam had a double-double with 19 points and 12 rebounds for Central (12-3).
Caleb Stonecipher and Nathan Telfair tallied 14 points apiece to pace McCracken County (8-9).
