Central's Brogan Davis finished second in the 200 medley relay and the 100 butterfly while leading the Tigers to a second-place finish in the 200 medley relay Saturday at the Cape Rock Invitational.
The invitational featured 26 schools from across the state. Central finished eighth out of 27 teams with 133 points. Jackson placed ninth with 128 points, while Notre Dame finished 16th.
Jackson's Joey Janisse placed second in the 100 backstroke and third in the 200 individual medley.

Notre Dame Invitational
The Notre Dame cross country team placed first in both the boys and girls categories at the 13th annual Notre Dame Invitational.
Sophomore Rudy McClellan posted a first-place time of 16 minutes, 49 seconds to lead the Bulldogs, while teammate Michael Peters finished 23 seconds behind McClellan for fourth place. Brock Kasten finished three seconds behind Peters for fifth, and Tyler Pech placed sixth with a time of 17:23.
Woodland senior Garret Reynolds finished eighth at 17:26. His teammate Landon Thomsen was 13th with a time of 17:47. The Cardinals took fifth as a team with 129 points.
Notre Dame's Jordan Meadors and Alaina Baumgart tied for fourth on the girls side with a time of 20:35, 32 seconds behind Arcadia Valley's Anna Thomas, who placed first. Alleigh Emmendorfer was a second behind her teammates, good enough for a fifth-place finish.
The Lady Bulldogs finished with 40 team points.

The St.Vincent boys cross country team grabbed four of the top 10 spots at the meet in Jefferson City, Missouri.
Levi Krauss paced the Indians with a second-place finish with a time of 17:55.70. His teammate John Lipe was five seconds behind with a fourth-place finish. St. Vincent also finished first in the team standings with 32 points.
On the girls side, Courtney Brown had the Indians' fastest time. The senior finished 31st out of 102 runners.

Perryville won all three of its games in the Gateway Classic at Rockwood Summit High School this weekend.
The Pirates defeated Bellevile West 2-0 on Friday. Perryville (17-1) also beat Timberland 2-0 and Liberty 3-0 on Saturday.
The Pirates were the only team in the round robin tournament to go undefeated and not allow a goal, according to Perryville coach Jerry Fulton.
Josh Scholl and Ryan Harvey each scored a goal midway through the first half in the Indians win over the Flyers at home.
Harvey also assisted Scholl's goal. Jackson improved to 7-6-1 with the win.
Central 2, Oran 1
The Tigers scored a run in the ninth inning to capture an extra innings victory on the road against the Eagles.
Maggie Groshong pitched a complete game for Central. The senior had six strikeouts and allowed just one walk.
Aubrianna Jones also pitched a complete game in the loss for Oran. The senior struck out nine and walked one.

GIRLS TENNIS
Class 1 District 1
Kennett's Hadley Wilburn defeated Dexter's Makayla Waldren 6-0, 6-1 to capture the Class 1 District 1 individual championship at Notre Dame.
Carly Hopkins and her partner Maddie Walker of Notre Dame needed three sets to get by Kennett's Heidi and Kate Shetley to claim the doubles district championship. The duo won 4-6, 6-1, 6-1 and is undefeated this season.
The first- and second-place finishers in the singles and doubles district will advance to the sectional round, which takes place Tuesday at Potosi High School.
