Scott City senior Bella Bowers hit a grand slam in the first inning to lead the Rams to a 16-0, two-inning rout of Woodland on Wednesday at home.

Bowers finished 1 for 1 with five RBIs and two walks. The Cardinals walked a total of 14 batters in the loss, five of which led to runs, including the final run to cap Scott City's victory.

Jamie Glastetter pitched a no-hitter for the Rams. She struck out three and walked four to improve 6-4 on the season.

Lexi Vandeven struck out four and walked one batter to record a no-hitter for the Widcats in a home win over Bloomfield.

Leopold (10-1) scored 11 runs in the first three innings before Leah Landewee hit a bases-loaded triple in the fourth and scored on an error to end the game.

Landewee was 3 for 4 with two singles while Clara Beel added a double.

Paige Mills pitched a complete game shutout for the Panthers in a six-inning win over the Warriors on the road.

Mills struck out one, walked two and gave up six hits in the win.

Morgan Politte was 3 for 5 with a double and a triple while Alaina Lochircho went 2 for 4 with a double and a single.

The senior struck out six and only walked two to earn the win.

Peyton Maddox struck out two and walked five, allowing just one unearned run to secure a no-hitter and a Cubs win over the Hawks.

Bell City (9-1) scored two runs on Maddox's RBI single and an an error in the second, and held off a late comeback attempt by Kelly (2-8).

The Cubs will go on the road to face Puxico today.

The Wildcats were shut out and held without a run in their second straight five-inning loss to Bloomfield at home.

Bloomfield scored eight runs in the first two innings and added three in the final two innings to come away with the win.

Tristan Graham took the loss for Leopold, allowing eight earned runs in three innings.

Notre Dame places 2nd in 4-team meet

Jonathan Bell and John Renner each finished second with a 2-over-par 38 to lead the Bulldogs at Hidden Trails Country Club in Dexter, Missouri.

Notre Dame's Trent Schumer was one stroke behind with a 39. The Bulldogs' total score of 156 was rounded out by Lincoln Hunter, who shot a 41.

Central, led by Colby Franklin's 39, placed third with a 183.

The Bulldogs notched their second win as many games by rolling past the Bronchos on the road.

Notre Dame (10-2) received seven kills, six assists and two aces from John Fennewald while Evan Landewe added 16 assists.
