Bernie's Matt Vernon scored a game-high 21 points as the Mules remained hot with a 65-58 win over host Oran in boys basketball action Tuesday.

Brandon Sparks and Gavin Smith added 14 points apiece for Bernie (11-1), which continued its winning streak after claiming the championship of the Bloomfield Christmas Tournament over the holiday break.

Hunter Schlosser recorded 20 points to pace Oran (8-5). Jacob Priggel netted 17 points and Max Priggel tossed in 10 points for the Eagles.
