Bernie's Sam Turner hit a 65-foot shot at the buzzer to lift the visiting Mules to a 69-66 victory over Advance on Thursday night.
The Hornets had rallied from a 53-43 deficit at the start of the fourth quarter before Turner's shot.
"We stopped being aggressive in the fourth quarter and they took it to us," Bernie coach Brad Botsch.
Turner's shot from his own end improved Bernie's record to 12-1.
"Sam's 65 footer at the buzzer was pure luck, but we're happy it went in," Botsch said. "You'll take it any time, but on the road facing overtime ... even better."
Lane Below scored a game-high 24 points for Advance (8-4), while Ethan Barr had 22.
David Baker led Bernie with 21 points, Joey Walker had 16 and Turner finished with 11.

Delta New Years Tournament
Top-seeded Saxony Lutheran knocked off No. 4 Meadow Heights 70-46 to advance to the championship of the Delta New Years Tournament.
Brianna Mueller led the Crusaders (10-1) with 17 points. Raegan Wieser added 13 points and Tess Daniel scored 10 points.
Emma Cook scored 21 points while Taylor Cureton added 12 points to pace the Panthers (4-7).
Second-seeded Woodland defeated No. 6 St. Vincent 38-24 in Thursday's other semifinal.
Josie Long led the Cardinals (9-1) with 15 points. Lindsay Shell contributed 10 points.
