Bobby Wright went 2-for-4 and drove in four runs to lead second-seeded Bell City to victory over third-seeded Bloomfield, 9-0, in a semifinal of the Stoddard County Activities Association (SCAA) Conference Tournament on Monday, earning a berth in the title tilt.
Wright was also the winning pitcher. He threw 4 1/3 innings and gave up two hits. He had five strikeouts and walked six batters. Peyton Maddox pitched a one-hitter for the final 2 2/3 innings to get the save with one strikeout and two walks.
Timmy Hector sustained the loss on the mound for Bloomfield (8-6). He pitched 3 1/3 innings and gave up nine runs (four earned) on seven hits with three strikeouts and four walked batters.
Bell City (13-2) will face top-seeded host Bernie at 4:30 p.m. today for the championship, weather permitting. The Mules (14-3) trounced fourth-seeded Puxico 11-1 in five innings in Tuesday's other semifinal. Bernie defeated Bell City 8-0 earlier in the season. Bloomfield will host Puxico (5-7) for third place at 4:30 p.m. today.

Palmer Campbell pitched four innings to take the loss. He allowed 10 runs (five earned) on 11 hits with three strikeouts and one walk.
Jacob Keene had the only hit for New Madrid County Central (5-9, 2-3).

Brayden Emmons blasted a home run and drove in two runs as a strong fourth inning propelled the Indians in the five-inning conference road rout over the Bearcats.
