The Advance volleyball team opened its season with a lopsided victory over Meadow Heights.
Liza Gray slammed four kills and had three aces, while Aimie Simmers contributed three kills and had two blocks for the Hornets in their 25-6, 25-8 win over the Panthers on Friday.
Haley Kennison served four aces and put down three kills, and Hannah Clark dished out nine assists for the Hornets (1-0).
Grace Mirly and Logan Meyr both doubled for the Crusaders (0-2).
Ashley Steck suffered the loss.

Local swimmers wasted no time posting qualifying times for the state meet.
Jackson's Kristian Troxel won the 200 individual medley and 500 freestyle with state-cut times.
Notre Dame's Dustin Parsons won the 100 butterfly to earn a state berth in the event.
The Bulldogs finished second with 145 points, while Jackson was third with 131.
