SOFTBALL

Bernie 4, Advance 0

Five errors doomed the Hornets in a game that featured just five hits combined between the teams.

"I think Bernie came focused and ready to roll," Advance coach James Hamlin told the Dexter Daily Statesman. "Their girl threw the ball extremely well. We as a team have to have 12 girls focused the whole time to be successful, and today we just didn't have that in the batter's box or on the field. Hannah Clark threw a pretty good game, but we made some mental errors behind her and she got a couple of pitches up she wished she had back.

Clark pitched the complete game and allowed three hits. Krystal James had a double to lead the Hornets' offense.
