VOLLEYBALL The Stoddard County Athletic Association tournament will get under way today at Bell City with a trio of area teams vying for the title. Defending Class 1 state champion Bell City (18-5-1) enters the tournament with the No. 3 seed and will face Bloomfield on Tuesday. Advance is seeded fourth in the tournament, and will face fifth-seeded Woodland in the opening round. Advance beat Woodland in two games at home Friday night and is 14-9-1 entering the tournament...

The top seeds entering the tournament are Puxico and Dexter. No. 1 Puxico is 6-1 in conference play and enters the tournament with a 21-3 record. Dexter is seeded second. Bernie and Richland are seeded seventh and eighth, respectively.
