The Poplar Bluff girls swimming team won six of the 12 events to finish in first place at the Cape Central quad meet on Wednesday at the Central Municipal Pool.

The Poplar Bluff girls swimming team won six of the 12 events to finish in first place at the Cape Central quad meet on Wednesday at the Central Municipal Pool.

Taylor Norwood earned a pair of first-place individual finishes to lead the Mules, who finished with 617 points. Josey Powell finished first in the 200 individual medley to power Central to a second-place finish with 578 points. Caitlyn Palmer placed first in the 50 freestyle and 100 freestyle to lead Jackson to third place with 377 points.

Saxony Lutheran's Elizabeth Kiefner finished first in the 200 freestyle, leading the Crusaders to fourth place with 287 points. Perryville wrapped up the standings with 120 points in fifth place.
