Sikeston (0-3) at Jackson (2-1)
* Last year: Jackson 42, Sikeston 0
* Notes: Jackson has dominated SEMO North play the past two seasons, rolling to a 6-0 mark and two conference championships. Last year, the Indians outscored conference opponents 114-14, including shutouts of both Central and Sikeston. Sikeston is off to its third straight 0-3 start, and is coming off a blowout loss against Dexter. The Indians' rushing attack broke through at Vianney last week in a resounding win. Trae Smith and Cody Randen each rushed for 97 yards and a touchdown.
Central (0-3) at St. Charles (1-2)
* Last week's games: Blytheville, Ark., 41, Central 21; Washington 14, St. Charles 6
* Last year: did not meet
* Notes: Central is off to its third straight 0-3 start and has allowed 29 or more points in all three games this season. Blake Slattery threw for 163 yards and two scores in the loss at Blytheville, Ark., and Hykeem Hammonds rushed for more than 100 yards for the second straight week. The Tigers have not started 0-4 since 1999, a 1-9 season that saw Central lose its first six games. St. Charles has been led on the ground by Clifton Brown, who has 448 yards rushing and four touchdowns. Jake Bornhop has thrown for 323 yards with three touchdowns and three interceptions.
Chaffee (1-2) at Rector, Ark. (0-3)
* Last week's games: Crystal City 43, Chaffee 13; Piggott 38, Rector 0
* Last year: did not meet
* Notes: Chaffee could not hold down the state-ranked Hornets last week, but should find Rector a favorable matchup in terms of athleticism. Rector was 0-9 last year, did not field a team the year before and is off to a rocky start again this season. The Cougars, who have just 19 players on the roster, were held to just 52 yards of total offense in a loss to rival Piggott (Ark.) last week. Chaffee would match its highest win total since 2001 with a victory.
Scott City (1-2) at Fredericktown (2-1)
* Last week's games: East Prairie 26, Scott City 20; Fredericktown 28, Herculaneum 7
* Last year: Fredericktown 20, Scott City 16
* Notes: Scott City fumbled three times and had four fourth-quarter interceptions in its loss last week. Chris Blankenship led the Rams with 150 yards rushing in the loss, but the Rams also allowed East Prairie back M.C. Williams to rush for more than 250 yards. Fredericktown has posted wins in each of the past two weeks, and has done much of its damage on the ground. David Penwell and Ryan Sawyer each have more than 200 yards rushing this season, and two other rushers have gained more than 80 yards on the ground. Blackcats quarterback Wesley Sharp has thrown for five touchdowns and 212 yards.

* Last year: Park Hills Central 34, Perryville 21

Ryan Lorenz was forced in to action at quarterback when Ryan Schilling went down in the first quarter, and the backup completed eight of 13 passes for 93 yards. Park Hills has exploded for 87 points in the past two weeks, led by quarterback Ronnie Calvird. Calvird has rushed for 153 yards and five scores touchdowns, and he has completed 22 of 29 passes for 347 yards and six scores. Aaron Bates has 17 receptions for 263 yards and six touchdowns.
St. Vincent (1-2) at Maplewood (2-1)
* Last week's games: St. Vincent 13, Valle 12; Maplewood 28, St. Pius 0
* Last year: St. Vincent 45, Maplewood 28
* Notes: St. Vincent used a late score to come from behind on the road last week for its first win. The Indians' defense, which has allowed 14 or fewer points in two of three games, will have to slow a Maplewood offense that has outscored opponents 70-6 the past two weeks. Fred Taylor and Josh Campbell each have more than 100 yards rushing this season for the Blue Devils. Kevin King has 142 yards receiving, and both King and Taylor lead the squad with four touchdowns.
