Notes: The Indians wrapped up a district title last week. Jackson's defense has been outstanding this season, holding opponents to 10.33 points per game. Matt Lang intercepted four passes to help the Indians to victory last week. He leads the area with 11 this season. Drew Bucher is among the area leaders in sacks with seven. The Indians' offense has also enjoyed success this season, especially running back Adam Zweigart. He's gained 1,249 yards, but sits 109 yards behind M.C. Williams of East Prairie for the area lead heading into this week. Cody Randen has provided depth at running back for the Indians, gaining 513 yards on 103 carries. Seckman is averaging 17.2 points per game, but has allowed 27.3 points per game.
Kennett (6-3) at Perryville (3-6)
Last year's meeting: Perryville 27, Kennett 7.
Notes: After a 3-0 start, the Pirates have dropped six straight. They've been shut out in three of their last four games, the lone exception a 14-7 loss to Dexter. Perryville running back Kris Cottner is 36 yards short of breaking 1,000 yards for the season. He averages 107.1 yards per game, and he's scored five touchdowns. Perryville will be without injured quarterback Josh Perreault, who had thrown for 655 yards while rushing for 404. Perryville's defense is allowing 19.44 points per game while the offense only averages 14.22 points per game. Kennett enters with an offense that averages 27.11 points per game. Kennett quarterback Blake Parr has thrown for 1,077 yards and seven scores.
