CHARLESTON'S RECEIVERS COULD GIVE THE RAMS PROBLEMS, WITH THREE RECEIVERS STANDING 6-FOOT-3 OR TALLER. BLUE JAYS BASKETBALL STANDOUT ASHTON FARMER (6-7) LEADS THE WAY WITH 515 YARDS OF RECEIVING.

Hayti (5-3) at St. Vincent (8-1), 7 p.m.

  • Last week: St. Vincent 24, Valle 3; Hayti 51, Chaffee 6

Last year's meeting: St. Vincent 27, Hayti 0

Notes: St. Vincent blew out Hayti last season after losing to the Indians the previous two seasons. Hayti has wins that knocked Valle and Scott City out of the state rankings in the last three weeks. Hayti running back Tremayne Pickens leads the offensive charge. St. Vincent has had a strong running game from a variety of running backs. St. Vincent's defense has surrendered only 60 points so far this season.

Valle (6-3) at Chaffee (0-9), 7 p.m.

  • Last week: Hayti 51, Chaffee 6; St. Vincent 24, Valle 3

Last year's meeting: Valle 35, Chaffee 7

Notes: Chaffee's losing streak is at 23 games and does not look to have its end against Valle. Chaffee's last district win came in 1997 in a 36-8 win over Hayti. Chaffee has never beaten Valle in a district game, a streak dating back to 1988.

DEXTER (6-3) AT PERRYVILLE (4-5), 7 P.M.

N LAST WEEK: PERRYVILLE 41, KENNETT 0; DEXTER 42, NMCC 0

LAST YEAR'S MEETING: DID NOT PLAY

NOTES: PERRYVILLE IS SEARCHING FOR ITS FIRST DISTRICT TITLE SINCE 1998. DEXTER WILL PROVIDE A STIFF TEST FOR THE PIRATES WITH ONE OF THE TOP PASSING GAMES IN THE AREA. KYLE ESPEY IS AMONG THE REGION'S LEADERS IN PASSING WITH 1,495 YARDS. PERRYVILLE WILL COUNTER WITH RUNNING BACK MATT UNTERREINER, WHO HAS 1,352 YARDS OF RUSHING AND IS A DANGEROUS KICK RETURN SPECIALIST AS WELL.

SECKMAN (2-7) AT JACKSON (6-3), 7 P.M.

N LAST WEEK: EUREKA 27, JACKSON 0; SUMMIT 49, SECKMAN 0

LAST YEAR'S MEETING: DID NOT PLAY

NOTES: JACKSON TRIES TO GET HEALTHY FOR SENIOR NIGHT AFTER PLAYING WITHOUT SENIORS JASON MEYSTEDT, BRAD CRADER AND NEAL GROSSHEIDER IN THE LOSS AT EUREKA. THE INDIANS WERE LIMITED OFFENSIVELY WITHOUT THOSE THREE WEAPONS. SECKMAN HAS LOST FIVE STRAIGHT, THOUGH, AND SHOULD GIVE THE INDIANS AN OPPORTUNITY TO END THE SEASON ON A HIGH NOTE.
