FARMINGTON — Kennett High School freshman Kade Anderson placed 90th in a talented field of runners at the Farmington Invitational Saturday in Engler Park.
Anderson’s time was a more-than-respectable 20:28.40.
Other Kennett finishers were Blaine Roberts in 112th, Gabriel Checkett 114th, Tanner Hansen 115th and Cash Franklin 119th.
Dylan Yates was held out of the contest due to an unspecified ailment; however, he will run in today’s Heartland Conference meet at Cape Girardeau’s North Park. Campbell also will participate, and Chaffee is serving as the event host.
Senath-Hornersville’s boys and girls participated in the junior varsity division.
Halle Jamerson and Lily Chandler earned medals with finishes in 13th and 39th, respectively. Jamerson clocked in with a time of 23:54.19.
The Lions finished fourth in the team standings with 123 points, with other finishers Tanya Martinez (45th), Morgan Chandler (50th), Hayley Barksdale (53rd), Ava Bollinger (61st), Ailani Arenas (80th) and Gabriela Sierra (81st).
On the boys side, Gerado Castillo and Adyn Goff received medals for Senath-Hornersville. Castillo was 28th overall (20:06.07) and Goff 34th (20:15.28).
Ricardo Gonzalez finished just outside of the medals in 43rd, with teammates Alejandro Soto in 75th, Braden Roy 81st, Jacob Chapman 96th, Mason Williams 97th, Logan Beard 98th, Luke Rushing 118th, Angel Ledezma 119th and Grant Burr 122nd.

DEXTER — After the Heartland Conference meet today, Kennett and Campbell plus Senath-Hornersville all will compete in the 10th Annual Dexter Bearcat Invitational on Saturday.
The middle school races will start at 11 a.m., with JV at noon and varsity at 1 p.m.
