CAPE GIRARDEAU — Campbell High School’s Drew Fowler was the top area boys finisher at the Cape Central Invitational on Saturday.

Fowler clocked in with a time of 19:07.10.

Other Campbell finishers were Ben Rowland in 37th, Samuel Bunting 43rd, Zander Mayberry 50th, Logan Townsend 56th, Caiden Mayberry 59th, Kennan Siebert 62nd.

The Camels finished seventh in the team standings with 188 points. Jackson was the overall boys’ winner (25) with Northwest Cedar Hill second. Kennett was 10th with 280 points.

Ricardo Gonzalez, a 2022 state qualifier, was one of two Senath-Hornersville runners to compete in the varsity division. Gonzalez was 35th (20:15.0). Mason Williams was 76th.

Dylan Yates was Kennett’s top finisher in 44th spot, clocking in at 20:49.9. Kade Anderson was next in 48th, Gabriel Checkett 73rd, Blaine Roberts 74th, Tanner Hansen 75th and Cash Franklin 78th.

Chloe Edmonston of Senath-Hornersville was the lone area girl in the varsity girls division. Edmonston was 35th in a time of 26:46.70.

Campbell competed at Oak Ridge on Tuesday while Kennett and Senath-Hornersville both travel to the Van Buren Invitational today.
