Notre Dame (12-2) finished 1-1 in the Nixa Invitational Tournament round robin with a 38-34 win against Norfork on Friday night.
Seniors Tori Rubel and Annalise Garner led the Bulldogs in scoring, both with 12 points in the game. Defensively, freshmen Nevaeh Lucious’ five blocks and Kate Rubel’s three steals finished as team highs in the narrow Notre Dame win.
Notre Dame received further scoring contributions from Lucious (6), Brie Rubel (3), Kate Rubel (3) and Skylar Craft (2).
The Bulldogs continue play in the Nixa Invitational Tournament on Saturday.
__BBB: Oran 72, Bell City 24__
Oran (10-7) took a dominant win at home on Friday night, soundly defeating Bell City (3-13) by a final score of 72-24.
Junior Nolan Loper scored 21 points to lead Oran in the victory, while the Eagles received another 12 points from Robby Menz. In total, 10 Eagles hit the scoring column as Kolten Payne (9), Riley Schlosser (6), Gabe Dirnberger (5), Elijah Shoemaker (4), Noah Mitchem (3), Nate Pobst (2) and Cooper Senciboy (1) all pitched in for a lopsided Oran win.
Bell City’s Maverick Griffin and Drew Roberts both finished with four points, a team-high total for the Cubs. Also in the book, Kaidin Curtis (3), Blake Jarrell (3), Brandon Grimes (3), Logan Stubenrauch (3), Kale Richardson (2) and Dawson Loomes (2) all scored in the Cubs loss.
Oran next hosts Oak Ridge (14-3) at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday while Bell City moves into the SCAA Tournament beginning on Monday.
__BBB: Scott City 55, North Pemiscot 9__
Scott City (5-12) held North Pemiscot (0-17) to just nine points in a 55-9 rout of the Mustangs on their own floor.
Andrew Hayden and Jackson Gloth both scored 10 points to lead the Rams in scoring. Luke Umfleet (7), Torrin Johnson (6), Colin Blaylock (5), Jaylen Rulo (4), Drake Dannenmueller (4), Nathan Ham (3), Brenden Beussink (2) and Kalen Conner (2) all scored in the Scott City win.
Scott City next hosts Greenville (16-1) at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
