Oran (8-6) pounced on the St. Vincent (9-8) defense early and carried its momentum to a lopsided 74-44 victory at home on Friday.
Junior Elijah Shoemaker led Oran with a game-high 24 points, all score on 2-point field goals while receiving 11 points in support from both teammates Robby Menz and Riley Schlosser.
St. Vincent senior Simon Unterreiner led the Indians in the losing effort, scoring 11 points.
Oran next hosts Bernie (9-4) at 7:15 p.m. on Monday, while St. Vincent moves on to host Leopold (6-5) at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
__BBB: Kelly 45, Chaffee 34__
Kelly (8-8) won all four quarters on Friday as the Hawks cruised to a road victory against Chaffee (6-9), winning 45-34.
Kelly’s Drew Klipfel dominated for Kelly as the senior finished with 16 points, doing just enough to help lead the Hawks to a low-scoring victory.
Both senior Login Rhodes and junior Blake Yarbro scored 10 points in the loss for Chaffee, tying each other for the team high.
Michael Dollins, who previously played for the Red Devils the previous year, returned to Chaffee and scored seven points for the Hawks.
Kelly next hosts Oak Ridge (12-3) at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Chaffee next hosts Oran (8-6) at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
__BBB: Leopold 75, Marquand 21__
Leopold (6-5) took a dominant win on the road, defeating host Marquand (0-6) by a score of 75-21 on Friday night.
Leopold received a game-high 16 points from senior Jay Engelen, while junior Brady Halter paced Engelen with 14 points.
Sophomore Braydan Homan led the Tigers with eight points scored in the loss, scoring six of his eight from the free-throw line.
Leopold next plays at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday at St. Vincent (9–8), while Marquand next hosts Eagle Ridge Christian (8-5) at 6 p.m. on Tuesday.
