Oak Ridge defeated Advance 40-38 for third place in the BCS Tri-County Conference Tournament on Thursday at Advance High School.
Oak Ridge’s offense was led by sophomore Reagan Howe who scored over half the Blue Jays’ points with 23. Junior Maggie Stubenrauch led the offense for Advance with 12 points followed by junior Kaylee Cline with 10 points.
“I am so proud of these girls! They really work hard for me all the time and they give it their all,” Oak Ridge coach Julie Ward said. “No matter if it's a good shooting night or not so good, they hustle their tails off and I am proud of them for it.”
Oak Ridge will play Crystal City at home at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Advance will get Charleston at home at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
__Oran 59 Kelly 56__
Oran defeated Kelly 59-56 on Thursday at Kelly High School.
Oran was led on offense by senior Grace Davis with 16 points followed by senior Haley Webb with 13, junior Bralynn Morgan with 12 and senior Emma Priggel with 10.
Kelly’s offense was led by junior Kayleigh Holman with 14 points and junior Kristen Grogan with 10 points.
Oran will play in the Jackson Lady Indian Showcase on Saturday while Kelly will travel to Scott City on Tuesday.
