BERNIE — The Bernie school district conducted its annual Wood Bat Classic this past weekend, with local schools splitting games.
Senath-Hornersville topped Alton, but suffered a one-run loss to Bell City. The Lions stand at 5-3 on the season.
Holcomb earned a shutout victory over South Pemiscot, but lost to Risco. Holcomb is 3-7.
On Friday, East Carter downed Risco 11-4 — bringing the Tigers record to 5-4.
Campbell (4-2) also blanked South Pemiscot, but took a hard-luck one-run versus
Van Buren.
Bernie will serve as host for one more tournament at the end of season from Sept. 30-Oct. 3.
