Heuring homers in Capahas' rout of Bulls

Oran graduate Alex Heuring had two hits, including a three-run home run that helped lead the Capahas baseball team to a 13-5 win over the St. Louis Bulls on Wednesday in Cahokia, Illinois.

The Capahas combined for 15 hits in the victory. Kenton Parmley finished with three hits, while Laban Petzoldt, Sean Bard and Cambron Womack each had two hits. Adam Connor also added a solo home run for the Capahas.

Calvin Lovig earned the win on the mound. He scattered two hits and finished with two strikeouts and no walks in three innings of work.

The Capahas return to action at 1 p.m. Sunday with a doubleheader against host Springfield Pallys.
