Scott City could not contain state-ranked Bell City or senior Eric Henry as the Cubs rolled to a 95-77 road victory Tuesday night in boys basketball.

Henry finished with 44 points for Bell City (17-3), ranked No. 2 in Class 1.

Scott City (10-6) took a 20-15 lead into the second quarter but the tide soon turned. The defending state champions outscored Scott City 28-11 in the second quarter for a 43-38 halftime lead.

Dominitrix Johnson added 20 points for the Cubs and Zach McIntyre nailed four 3-pointers as he finished with 16 points.

The Rams were led by Tyler Ward's 24 points. Jeremy Schlosser contributed 20 and D.J. Walton added 14.

Charleston 52, Jackson 41

Charleston handled the Indians to post a SEMOConference win in Jackson.

Tyler McNeely led the Indians (10-12)with 15 points and Jeff Puisis had 13.

Deshaundray Hamilton led the Blue Jays with 13 points. Ashton Farmer had 12 and Trentez Lane added 11.

Windsor 56, Perryville 45

Visiting Windsor pulled away from Perryville in the second quarter and never looked back.

Andrew Haegele and Adam Hunter each scored 13 points to lead Windsor and Ryan Forchee added 11. Perryville fell to 5-16

St. Vincent 71, Herculaneum 66

Alex Armbruster and Matt Wengert combined for 32 points and St. Vincent defeated Herculaneum at home.

Armbruster finished with 27 points and Wengert had 25. St. Vincent (9-6) improved to 4-2 in the Jefferson County Conference.

Oran 70, Scott County Central 59

Oran used a strong fourth quarter to grab a victory on the road.

After Oran took a 30-25 halftime lead, the Braves (8-10) closed to within two points after three quarters. The Eagles (16-4) outscored the Braves 25-16 in the fourth quarter to pull away.

Oran was led by Ryne Wood who scored 17 points. Nathan Seyer had 16, Matt Seyer 13 and Patrick Friga 14.

Chris Monroe led the Braves with 13 points. Jeremy Johnson, Chris Pullen, Andrew Pullen and Daniel Holman all scored 10 apiece.

Delta 63, Woodland 54

Delta got 30 points from sophomore Brent Menz, all in the second half, and slipped past Woodland at home.

Menz hit seven 3-pointers in the second half. The Bobcats (5-11), who trailed 20-16 at halftime, outscored the Cardinals 47-34 in the second half to grab the lead for good.

Alex VanGennip led the Cardinals with 20 points and Travis Benfield had 13. Joey Keys had 11 points.

Eagle Ridge 69, New Salem 60

Eagle Ridge went on the road and won.

Eagle Ridge led 32-23 at halftime and held off a late charge by New Salem to win. New Salem (16-10) was down to four players at the end of the game due to fouls.

Andrew Mellies led with 22 points for Eagle Ridge. Joel Powell added 20 for the Eagles and Daniel Ellinghouse had 13. Mellies added 18 rebounds and Phillip Brock had 14.

For New Salem, Jonathan Davault had 18 points. David Green added 10 points and Boone Gaines had 15.

MVC Tournament

No. 3 Zalma beat sixth-seeded Marquand 71-56 in pool play at the Mississippi Valley Conference Tournament.

Chad Wiseman led Zalma with 18 points. Nick Hartmen added 10.

No. 5 Chaffee defeated No. 4 Oak Ridge 54-51.

Girls Basketball

NEW SALEM 43, EAGLE RIDGE 34

New Salem used a big fourth-quarter comeback to knock off Eagle Ridge at home.

New Salem trailed 21-15 at halftime and was down 32-25 after three quarters. New Salem (16-7) then outscored the Eagles 18-2 in the fourth to get the win.

Sarah Green had 24 points for New Salem. Rachel Carbaugh led Eagle Ridge with 10 points.

Boy's swimming

PARKWAY CENTRAL 121, CENTRAL 65

Central won three events in a dual loss to Parkway Central.

Alex Heddle won the 50 meter freestyle in24.24 seconds. Sam Maguire won the 100 freestyle swimming it in 53.37. Kris Metje won the 100 breaststroke in 1:19.00.

Wrestling

JACKSON 33, FARMINGTON 33

Jackson and Farmington ended their last dual of the season in a tie.

Charles Doerge pinned his man in the heavyweight class in just 45 seconds. Blake Ulrich pinned Eric Ervin in 3:05 and Brock Howard pinned his opponent in 1:57.

Jackson is just one half of a point up on Farmington in the conference standings although both teams are 9-0-1.

Jackson's JV ended its season 10-0 with a 66-15 win.
