Kay Helderman posted a one-pin victory to capture the singles title at the 57th Annual Handicap Tournament of the Cape Girardeau Women's Bowling Association held Saturday and Sunday at West Park Lanes.
Helderman posted a 730 total, edging out Ann Bradshaw's 729. Rounding out the top 10 totals: Cindy Yingling (722), Deborah Cotner (718), Marilyn Landewee (713), Carla Beussink (708), Jan Eckert (699), Mandy Eudy (696), Jill Raines (694) and Sharon McCune (691).
In doubles, Stacey Kinikin rolled a 300 game as she and teammate Linda Eudy waltzed away with the title. Their 1,517 total won by a comfortable 109 pins. In winning, Kinikin added games of 248 and 247 to her 300 for a 795 series.
The other top 10 doubles finishers: Jan Eckert and Penny Brown (1,408), Becky Fulton and Meleia Sides (1,407), Yingling and Shauna Bennett (1,391), Mandy Eudy and Linda Eudy (1,381), Mandy Eudy and Jean Eudy (1,377), Melissa Burlbaugh and Yvonne Burlbaugh (1,375), Bennett and Terre Bowers (1,374), Karen Roques and Teresa Reisenbichler (1,349), and Mary Hill and Sue Crader (1,348).
The Scratch All Events was won by Bennett, who bowled a 656 series in team, 633 in doubles and 621 in singles for a total of 1,910.
Handicap All Events was captured by Landewee, who bowled a 582 series in team, 661 in doubles and 639 in singles for a nine-game total of 2,104.
