Southeast Missouri State senior tailback Henry Harris has picked up the first of what figures to be several All-American honors.

Harris was named to the Walter Camp Football Foundation Football Championship Subdivision (formerly Division I-AA) All-America team Tuesday. Only 26 FCS players from across the country were selected.

Harris, the Ohio Valley Conference's offensive player of the year, rushed for a single-season school record 1,735 yards and 18 touchdowns this year. His 19 total touchdowns were also a school record.

Harris, a native of Memphis, Tenn., rushed for more than 100 yards in 10 of Southeast's 12 games, including a FCS single-game high and school-record 293 yards against Southwest Baptist.

Harris helped the Redhawks post one of the best seasons in program history. Southeast (9-3) tied the school record for wins while capturing its first OVC title and earning its first playoff berth.

Harris and Tennessee State defensive back Eugene Clifford represented the OVC on the Walter Camp All-American squad.
