Notre Dame baseball coach Jeff Graviett, who led the Bulldogs to the Class 3 title last season, has been selected the MSHSAA Baseball Coach of the Year for the 2008-2009 school year.
Graviett coached the Bulldogs to a 29-1 record last season, his 11th season at the helm of the program and his 13th season at the school.
"It's really an honor for our program and the kids," Graviett said. "As coaches, we try to do what we can. I had a talented bunch last year, and this is just another honor for those guys."
Notre Dame won its fourth state championship in baseball with an 18-4 victory over Carl Junction in the Class 3 final. The title was the first under Graviett, who has led the school's baseball team to the final four five times and the girls softball team to the final four on four occasions.
