He drove in seven runs in the Redhawks' 15-1 series-opening win against Eastern Illinois Friday, going 5-for-6 with a double and a grand slam.
Gandolfo had a two-run double in the second game of the series and capped the week with a two-run home run in the bottom of the eighth of the Redhawks' 20-7 victory in the finale to sweep the series. He extended his hitting streak to 16 games with that homer.
He's started all 36 games and is hitting .352 with 32 RBIs.
