FREDERICKTOWN -- Fredericktown celebrated Senior Night by upsetting visiting Notre Dame 58-52 Friday.

Trailing 23-14 after the first quarter, Fredericktown outscored the Bulldogs 44-29 in the final three quarters.

"After the first quarter we just quit playing," said Notre Dame coach Chris Janet, whose team fell to 6-15. "Fredericktown wanted to win more than we did. It's hard to figure our team out."

Notre Dame led 44-40 entering the fourth quarter before being outscored 18-8 in the final period.

Fredericktown's Jeff Grindstaff led all scorers with 20 points. For Notre Dame, Nathan McGuire had 14 points and Dirk Dirnberger added 13.

Notre Dame plays today at 3 p.m. against Sacred Heart-Sedalia in the Catholic Shootout at Ste. Genevieve Valle High.
