SCOTT CITY, Mo. -- Randall White, who was inexplicably released from his coaching duties from the girls basketball team by Scott City, has accepted the girls coaching post at Delta.
White will replace Nate Crowden, who stepped down to concentrate on his school principal duties.
"Everything's worked out extremely well," White said. "I'm retiring at Scott City; I have enough years in and so I'll only be teaching half-time and coaching grades 7-12."
Delta was a district champion last year and has a lot of young talent returning.
"They had a pretty good ballclub," White said. "And Nate did a good job with them."
White, a long-time basketball and volleyball coach at Scott City, led the Lady Rams to 18 wins last year and his junior varsity only lost one game.
Limbaugh headed to Quincy
J.P. Limbaugh, a 6-foot, 170-pound, sure-handed receiver for Cape Central's football team has signed with Quincy University.
Limbaugh, also an excellent student, caught 30 passes last year for 280 yards.
Known for pass-catching ability, Limbaugh runs the 40-yard dash in 4.73 seconds. He was named the Most Valuable Player at the University of Missouri's summer contact camp last year.
