Jackson graduate and University of Missouri senior Jill Rushin added another Southeastern Conference title to her list of achievements on Saturday.
Rushin's throw of 56 feet, 2 inches was good for first place in the shot put at the SEC Outdoor Championships.
LSU's Tori Bliss was second with a distance of 55-11 3/4 while Rushin's Mizzou teammate Kearston Peoples was third at 55-2.
Rushin, who earned second-team all-American status in the event last season, repeated as the SEC shot put champion.
She has also earned first-team all-American status for the event indoors.
