Two Notre Dame wrestlers won their matches by pinfall, but the Bulldogs were unable to overcome five forfeits and dropped a 44-33 decision to Herculaneum on Wednesday night.
At 120 pounds, Notre Dame's Mitchell Heisserer pinned Devin Small in 1 minute, 17 seconds, and teammate Austin Harter pinned Daniel Evans in just 14 seconds at 138 pounds.

Sikeston outscored Perryville 20-13 in the fourth quarter to break open a close game.
Freshman Erica Peet topped host Sikeston with 20 points. Mikala Nichols added 16 points and Hayley Chapman 14.
Natalie Gremaud had 21 points and 10 rebounds for Perryville (10-6).
"We struggled the whole night to score," said Perryville coach Vicki Lohmann. "The ball rolled around the rim and just wouldn't fall for us."
