Last week: Poplar Bluff 21, Central 20; Windsor (Imperial) 33, Seckman 28.
Last year's meeting: The two teams did not play each other last year.
Outlook: Central and Seckman, two winless football programs, meet tonight. The Tigers lost by one point to SEMO conference opponent Poplar Bluff last Friday night at home. Central must look to take advantage of turnovers by Class 6 Seckman, which has had trouble taking care of the football this fall. Although Jaguars quarterback Kyle Fisher has completed 58 of 108 passes for 957 yards and nine touchdowns, he has thrown 15 interceptions, according to stltoday.com. Seckman running back Tyler Fisher has carried 100 times for 626 yards. The outcome also will be decided on how well Central runs the football. Teams have run the football successfully against the Tigers. In Week 5, Francis Howell North ran for 406 yards against the Jaguars' defense, which has surrendered an average of 43 points per game. Cantrell Andrews leads the Tigers' ground attack. He has carried 132 times for 790 yards. He averages 5.98 yards per carry and 131.7 yards per game. The Central defense must continue to improve. It held an opponent to less than 42 points (21 points) for the first time this season last week against Poplar Bluff. Central also must take care of the football. Quarterback Andrew Williams has thrown 11 interceptions.
