LAKES

Clearwater Lake: 82 degrees, normal, clear; all species slow.

Council Bluff: 80 degrees, normal, clear; all species slow.

* Cypress Lake: bluegill fair on live baits; black bass fair; channel catfish fair late evening and night on cut bait; crappie slow.

* Duck Creek: 87 degrees, falling, clear; bluegill good on crickets; black bass fair on plastic worms.

* Lake Girardeau: 82 degrees, normal, clear; bluegill good on crickets; channel catfish good on liver; all other species slow.

* Perry County Lake: 80 degrees, normal, clear; bluegill fair on worms and jigs; black bass fair on buzzbaits; channel catfish fair on worms and liver; all other species slow.

* Robert DeLaney Lake: 84 degrees, normal, dingy; channel catfish and bluegill fair on natural baits; all other species slow.

* Wappapello: 82 degrees, normal, black bass good on plastic worms, crankbaits, and spinnerbaits; bluegill good on crickets and worms; channel catfish good using live bait on juglines at night; crappie slow; anglers should note the new 9-inch minimum length limit regulation for crappie.

RIVERS

Black River (near Annapolis): 73 degrees, low, clear; all species slow.

* Castor River (above Zalma): low, clear; black bass good on Yamamoto worms and minnows; sunfish good on spinners, worms, and small jigs; all other species good.

* Mississippi (below Charleston): low, dingy; channel catfish good on natural bait; all other species slow.

* St. Francis (above Wappapello): low, clear; black bass good in morning and evening on large minnows and topwater lures; goggle-eye good on small minnows and worms; channel catfish good on large minnows and nightcrawlers in deeper holes.

* St. Francis (below Wappapello): 84 degrees, low, dingy; channel catfish good on pole and line, limb lines, and trotlines using stinkbaits, worms, liver, and bait shrimp off the bottom; flathead catfish good on pole and line and trotlines using green sunfish and goldfish; spotted bass and largemouth bass fair on spinnerbaits, Rooster Tails and buzz baits; crappie slow.
