Justice and coaching
IF YOU doubt that there's justice in the world and if you doubt the fact that the world is a fair place, let me show you how you can tell it's not a fair place. In schools in this area, good coaches -- coaches that have the support of their students and their parents -- have to worry about keeping their jobs and have even been fired. And then we have coaches about whom parents and players have complained for years about specific issues of them not doing their job, and nothing is ever done about it. It is time to stop protecting our coaches and start protecting our kids. Isn't the school and the program there to serve our kids? If it's there to develop athletes and develop good citizens, then we need a good athlete, a good citizen and a good coach in place.
