EVANSVILLE, Ind. -- Evansville's women's soccer team scored a goal midway through the second half and knocked off visiting Southeast Missouri State 1-0 Friday night.

Heidi Gray put a shot past Southeast goalkeeper Lindsay Pickering from about 20 yards out 20 minutes into the final period.

Southeast fell to 3-2 and Evansville improved to 5-2.

The Aces held a 13-9 edge in shots. Pickering was credited with seven saves, while Evansville keeper Whitney Raeon made three saves.

Southeast returns to action Sunday with a 2 p.m. home match against Iowa at Houck Stadium.
