Scott City football coach Jim May thought Fredericktown's front line looked big while watching film of the Blackcats.
They looked bigger in person.
"From the get-go, they dominated us up front," May said in a phone interview.
Fredericktown handed the host Rams a 36-14 defeat Friday night.
Both teams came into the game without a win, but May said Fredericktown was boosted by the return of starting quarterback A.P. Lewandowski.
"They're always a physical and fundamentally strong team," May said.
Fredericktown led 20-0 after one quarter and 30-6 at halftime.
Garett Schaefer scored the Rams' only first-half points on a 42-yard touchdown run in the second quarter.
Schaefer finished with 93 yards on 16 carries while teammate Alex Eichhorn gained 63 yards on nine carries.
Eichhorn scored a touchdown in the fourth quarter on a 6-yard run then ran for a 2-point conversion.
Scott City quarterback Jamie Scholz completed 2 of 10 passes for 5 yards.
Hunter Griffith led the Rams' defense by making 12 solo tackles and assisting on two others.
