CHARLESTON -- Dunklin County sent Sikeston to the loser's bracket of the Zone14 Senior Legion tournament Wednesday with a 12-2 win in seven innings.

Landon Kersey was the winning pitcher. He went seven innings and struck out six, walked five and allowed two earned runs on seven hits.

Ricky Fodge suffered the loss. He went two innings and allowed six runs, four earned, on five hits and two walks, while striking out two.

Sikeston committed five errors in the game. Dunklin County scored four runs in the first inning, two in the second, three in the fourth, one in the sixth and two in the seventh.

Adam Burton had three hits for Dunklin County with two runs batted in and two runs, while leadoff hitter Derek Cunningham went 2-for-2 with four runs scored, three walks and two stolen bases.

Dunklin County outhit Sikeston 14-7.

Sikeston will take on Cape Ford & Sons today at 5 p.m. Chaffee will play the winner of Charleston and Stoddard County at 8 tonight.
