The Dexter Lady Bearcat tennis team has had a busy week starting with a trip to Jackson on Monday and ending with a trip to the SEMO Conference Tournament.

The Bearcats stepped onto the tennis court at Jackson on Monday. Jackson came away with an 8-1 win.

The Lady Indians swept the doubles matches with Caroline Pearl Selzer and Ava Rosemary Nipper defeating Kate Churchill and Emma Dorton 9-7, Bailey Jo Rees and Melanie Kay Nugent defeated Sophia James and Febe Chanel Worley 8-5 and Ella Kahlil Montgomery and Graycyn Eve Cox defeated Puja S Maisuria and Kinley Kenedy 8-3.

Rees, Montgomery, Nipper, Cox and Nugent picked up singles wins for Jackson. Kate Churchill picked up a singles win for Dexter defeating Selzer 8-5.

The Bearcats hosted Notre Dame on Tuesday falling 9-0. Notre Dame swept both the doubles and singles matches.

The Bearcats returned to the tennis court Thursday sweeping Caruthersville and honoring their two seniors Kate Churchill and Emma Dorton. The Bearcats swept the doubles and singles matches winning 9-0.

In doubles action Churchill and Dorton defeated Charlie Marie Burkhalter and Alejandra Margarita Zuniga 8-3, James and Worley defeated Kevonna Monae Gipson and Lillie McMeans 8-0 and Maisaria and Kennedy defeated Norah Elizabeth Leasure and Anna Marie Warren 8-1.

In singles Churchill defeated Burkhalter 8-0, Dorton defeated Zuniga 8-1, James defeated Gipson 8-0, Worley defeated McMeans 8-0, Maisuria defeated Leasure 8-0 and Kennedy defeated Warren 8-4.

Following the match the Dexter tennis teamed honored the teams seniors.
