The Dexter Bearcat Golf team hosted Notre Dame and Sikeston in a three team match at Hidden Trails Country Club on Wednesday.
Dexter won the match with a score of 159, Notre Dame was next carding a 165 and Sikeston finished the day with a score of 183.
“They did a good job, they are maturing, they are making better decisions,” said Dexter Golf Coach Eric Sitze. “That was a great score today, 159 is a great score for us. We are still young and we are still learning every time we come out here. But they work hard, they practice hard, they are great kids to be around. They are a fun group.”
Dexter is indeed a young team, they have no seniors on the roster. Dexter was lead by sophomore Ben Christian with a 37 and junior Alyssa Warren, who carded a 38.
Sitze said the varsity roster is lead by two juniors, two sophomores and a freshman.
Dexter nd Sikeston will next be in action Monday at the SEMO Conference Tournament and Notre Dame will face Cape Central Thursday.
