Dexter downs Sikeston for third straight win

The Dexter Lady Bearcat tennis team opened their home schedule by picking up their third straight win with a 8-1 victory over Sikeston.

Dexter swept the doubles matches with Dexter's Katarrah Churchill and Emerson Dorton defeating Chloe Lin and Saloni Hiren Maisuria 8-3, Sophia James and Febe Chanel Worley defeated Juliet Francis Collins and Alanna Grace Jones 8-4 and Puja S Maisuria and Kinley Kennedy defeated Anna Christine Steward Purves abd Cheyenne Taylor Parker 8-2.

Dexter picked up wins in five out of six singles matches as well. Emerson defeated Maisuria 8-5, James defeated Collins 8-0, Worley defeated Jones 8-3, Maisuria defeated Purves 8-3 and Avery Medley defeated Parker 8-0.

Lin picked up Sikeston lone win by defeating Churchill 9-8 with a 8-6 tiebreaker win.

Dextyer will next be in action on Tuesday hosting Kennet with Holcumb and Sikeston will next be in action on Thursday when they host the Sikeston Invitational.
