FARMINGTON — Dexter Bearcats’ golf team dominated the Class 3, District 1 tournament at Crown Point Golf Club on Thursday, May 2.
The Bearcats’ defeated 13 teams and set a new school record (305) to become district champions. Potosi shot 326 to win second place. St. James won third place with a score of 344.
Banks Nesselrodt shot 1 under par (71) to defeat 73 players and become district champ. Jackson Marcee from St. James finished 2 shots back (73) to finish in second place.
All five Bearcat players finished in the top 10 and received all district medals.
Tucker Temples shot 76 to finish third. Ben Christian salvaged a round of 78 to finish tied for fourth. Will Guethle tied for seventh place with a personal best score of 80. Alyssa Warren tied for 10th place with a personal best score of 84.
The Cats’ will compete again May 13-14 in the 83rd Missouri State Championship to be held at Rivercut Golf Course in Springfield, Missouri.
